From the summit, see if you can make out Mont Blanc – Europe’s highest mountain – and, further in the distance, the Jungfrau in all her radiant beauty.
Well-known as a popular resort town, Interlaken boasts The Höhematte, a pedestrian paradise of shops, hotels, sidewalk cafes, and inviting gardens. Ascend Harder Kulm via the historic funicular train. The vantage platform affords visitors unrivaled views to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau as well as Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
A cable car will take you from Grindelwald to the First mountain. From there, speed rapidly via the First Flyer towards Schreckfeld. Enjoy a ride by mountain-cart to Bord station where you’ll indulge in tasty snacks on the restaurant’s sunny terrace overlooking the mountains. Afterwards, grab a scooter-bike and feel the wind in your face while you drive back down to the village of Grindelwald.
The Haslital, one of the largest valleys in the central alps, stretches from the Grimsel Pass to the Lake of Brienz. Walk through Aare Gorge, which has been accessible for over 100 years via paths and tunnels. Onward to the historical city of Lucerne, which has a little bit of everything. Stroll through a maze of small streets, bridges, promenades, and plazas dominated by countless historical towers, fountains, and frescoed buildings.
Enjoy a leisurely cruise on crystal-clear Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, where you’ll ascend by the steepest rack railway in the world to Mt. Pilatus. Once on top you’ll have time to walk up to the vista point and admire the breathtaking panorama views over the Swiss Alps and Lucerne. Descend by aerial cable car to Fraekmuentegg, sweeping over pine forests and mountain meadows to the village of Kriens. Enjoy one final evening in beautiful Switzerland before your departure in the morning.
